Circumstances mean that I now drive to the dialysis unit, in the Estover area three times a week. The absence of traffic on the A386 soon becomes the norm as does the increasing number of people out for a stroll.
We were surprised, however, to see, in the dusk, a herd of deer crossing the dual carriageway that used to be Plymbridge Lane.
On another evening, we slowed down, crossing Roborough Down, to accommodate two pheasants happily pecking away in the middle of the road.
I didn’t stop the car to take photographs, but these certainly capture what was a ‘silver lining’ moment to enjoy.
