Bridging the Tamar Visitor and Learning Centre, Tamar Bridge Office, Pemros Road, Plymouth, Devon, PL5 1LP
As part of the Heritage Open Days, there will be a tour, free of charge, exploring the iconic Brunel’s Royal Albert Bridge up close. You’ll learn about the creation and construction whilst taking in the vista and bridge from afar and walking down to the waterside.
As part of the Heritage Open Day, this is a brand new tour focusing on the history of the Royal Albert Bridge, and the story behind Brunel’s iconic construction. The tour starts at the Visitor Centre at the Tamar Bridge Offices and then down to the waterside on Plymouth side of the Tamar Bridge. Sturdy footwear advised as there is a steep section of path on this walking tour.
Please note, the tour will be in locations around the bridge and does not involve any direct access to the Royal Albert bridge.
