September 2nd Jane will lead us on an old favourite, not recently visited. This is a circular coastal walk from Warren National Trust car park via Noss Mayo.
It’s an amblers’ delight of 4.7 miles and has a hill (of sorts) at the end, lunch needed. Journey time about 45 mins each way. Expect to arrive home around 3pm.
September 9th David will lead a moorland walk in the Meldon dam area, car park fee £2.00. Do bring lunch.
September 16th Harlyn Bay with Loveday, elevenses and tea kindly provided, bring your own lunch. If cancelled because of weather, play it by ear.
September 23rd Cliff tba or Harlyn Bay if not visited on 16th.
September 30th Hopefully, John and Barbara will lead a circular walk around the Leather Tor area. This is about 3.5 miles but has a very steep section . We will inspect the terrain nearer the day and have a backup, if necessary.
September 2nd Kay will lead from Meldon Dam car park up the West Okement valley to explore Blackator copse and then on up to Black Tor, and back over Longstone Hill.
September 9th David and Liz offer possibly a coastal walk, this time from Looe while the last of summer remains! This will be a repeat of a walk done several years ago and takes in Talland Bay and is about 7.5 miles long. We will start at the car park near the bridge crossing the estuary which is pay and display.
September 16th To Harlyn Bay to enjoy Loveday’s hospitality and a coastal walk ………as long as the weather is reasonable there. If not Mary and Steve have kindly offered to be flexible to provide a weather suitable walk.
September 23rd Assuming we went to Harlyn last week, then Mary and Steve will lead today possibly a repeat of something we all know, though rest easy, Mary has vetoed a return visit to that grave anytime soon,………though in fairness it was specially requested!
September 30th Sandra and Doug will lead a local walk.
