Nightingales Ukraine was established at the start of the war in Ukraine by UK health workers in Milton Combe with a main focus to deliver medical supplies to the war zone. Anton and two colleagues came and told us about the activities of the group and the realities of delivering equipment, including vehicles across Europe to meet the needs of soldiers in the front line. They showed several films of the war areas and the people they were helping; some of this was highly emotive, as one might imagine, especially when children were shown. As well as providing a payment for the talk from our u3a, the audience gave donations to the charity and this amounted to £320.
