Bridge is a social card game which can be played at many levels, seriously or otherwise. The winner does not necessarily have the best hands. If you enjoy cards, this is the game for you.
We hold Beginners classes for those who want to start learning the game and Intermediate classes for people who can already play but want to improve – don’t we all.
Having taken the Beginners Class, many of the members have started their own social bridge group and there are a number of small groups operating social/kitchen bridge.
Come and Play with a bit of help – started in January
Many of us feel we are not beginners but, without playing regularly during lockdown, could do with a bit of help to get us back into the swing of it and get our bridge confidence back. Anne has started a class in January just for that purpose. For more information, contact Anne.

Further Bridge News
We recently advised about a proposed new Bridge Club that Pamela Heale plans to start on a Friday afternoon in Tavistock.
But we are also very lucky to have a well-established friendly Bridge Club closeby in Yelverton where a number of our members, who began their bridge journey at Anne’s classes, play. Yelverton Bridge Club is changing its Wednesday afternoon venue to St. Paul’s Church Hall in Yelverton and re-started on Wednesday 22nd September from 1.45-4.15pm. The change of venue means that the Club no longer has a waiting list and is welcoming new members. If you are interested in finding out about this club, please contact Jane Whitehead
