Meets at 2pm on the third Wednesday of the month
Venue circulates
Book group meets once a month at different members’ houses. Not all members can host these sessions but this does not present any difficulties. Membership fluctuates between 6 and 10 people and members suggest books to be discussed at a later session and then, if they are happy about it, explain what they found interesting before general discussion follows.
Books can be non-fiction such as Alan Johnson’s ‘Boy’, Joe Simpson’s ‘Touching the void’ or novels like Barbara Kingsolver’s ‘The poisonwood Bible’. We do try not to discuss writers of previous generations to avoid duplication with the classics revisited group.
We would welcome some new members, so if you think you may be interested in joining us when we can meet again, please contact the Group Leader.
