Meets on 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm – Venue circulates
At the beginning of our academic year in September, we democratically decide on topics for the year ahead and who will host each meeting.
Everyone is encouraged to do some research and to participate in the discussions. We have covered topics as diverse as CRISPR, the James Watt telescope, cloning, gravity, dark matter and space probes. There has also been talk on the National Grid.
We often bring along a powerpoint presentation, YouTube clips or memory sticks to show relevant material through our TV’s or else simply use photocopies.
The group size is only limited to the size of our living rooms and there are currently 14 members and the group cannot accept any more at present.
