Our May talk – Cybersecurity

These were two clear useful reminders Mick Harrison, Devon Police Cyber Protect Officer, provided in his talk on Cybersecurity at the May meeting of West Dartmoor u3a.
Mick provided a clear, humourous but deadly serious talk about keeping safe on line. He is a retired policeman who worked in London in the 1980s and 90s. He is kept very busy now, training most days of the week, providing briefings to the public as part of the strategy to reduce scams and exploitation on line.
Mick referred us to Abilitynet which provides digital skills training, either as a group or individually at home.
There was a great deal more and Mick provided a comprehensive handout that also listed sources of support and training. He is very willing to provide free presentations to other groups.
